R. SKY Palkowitz (AEA-SAG-AFTRA) is an Actor, Singer, Character Specialist and Avant-Garde Multimedia Performance Artist from NY, known universally as “The Delusional Diva”. Sky has performed numerous solo shows, regional theatre, and has taught acting around the country. She performs original comedy, music and improv regularly in Hollywood and beyond, at venues such as The World-Famous Comedy Store, Highways Performance Space, and The LA Connection Comedy Theatre.

Sky holds an MFA from the U. of Iowa, is highly trained in the classics (PTTP at the U. of Delaware), has toured nationally with the National Theatre for Children, and all over Chicago and Illinois with Imagination Theatre, as well as taught acting to children and adults in NY, Chicago, Los Angeles, Iowa and Delaware for over 20 years.

Sky has worked extensively with renowned artists such as Rachel Rosenthal, Guillermo Gomez-Pena, Irene Pinn, Roy Harte Theatre, Heinze Uwe-Hause, John Fleck, and Ken Roht, to name a few. Sky was the Executive Director of the Women’s Theatre Company Los Angeles (WTCLA) at the Hudson Ave. Theatre in Hollywood, a founding member of Rachel Rosenthal’s past company, Fauve Conspiracy, and worked with Rachel for 8 years. Sky currently serves on the Board of Directors for the LA Women’s Theatre Festival (LAWTF), of which she was personally sponsored by her one of her theatrical heroines, Lily Tomlin.

Sky works in television, film, stage, and is the star of the internet web series “A PALKOWITZ NOW!”. Sky has a plethora of short films, music videos, stand-up comedy, vlogs, and performance pieces that can be seen on youtube under Delusional Diva. SKY recently produced the San Francisco Premier (2012) and the Broadway Premier (2013) of her trans-media tour-de-force, “CALLING AMERICA: DON’T HANG UP!”, where she plays 50 characters in 90 minutes, to SOLD-OUT STANDING OVATIONS!
