THE ARTIST<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

SKY Palkowitz is an Interdisciplinary Multimedia Artist from New York, based in Los Angeles.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE WORK<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

SKY landed in Hollywood at the turn of the millennium, in the year 2000.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a culmination of the last 25 years in Los Angeles.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mixed media mostly consisting of wood and canvas, a combination of pastels, cardboard, stained wood, watercolor, acrylics and oils.  <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The continuous theme of Aliens has taken over.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The colorful, vibrant depictions of Aliens doing everyday things are representative of inclusion, diversity, connection, multimedia, multiculturalism\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

SKY\u2019s body of work was on display for 17 years (2001 – 2018) at <\/em><\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The Harvard Hive Alien Art Museum, Animal Queendom & Crystal Earth Creation Station, Gallery\/Studio\/Workspace\/Performance Place”<\/em><\/strong> in East Hollywood, where her giant cement wall mural of Alien\/UFO\/Pyramid (2009) still stands.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
